The ARRS Resident/Fellow in Radiology Awards - General

• Available to residents and fellows in radiology and radiological science research to recognize their research and present their work at the ARRS Annual Meeting. Awards are based on the competence and promise of the candidate in radiology research, education, or administration and the scientific merit and potential impact of the candidate's research. The Award includes a presentation of their research at the ARRS Annual Meeting.

• Deadline: 2025 applications will open in fall of 2024.

AAR Meeting Awards - General

• Residents should submit an abstract to the annual AAR meeting and then apply for an award if accepted for a poster or oral presentation. For most awards, an extended abstract should be submitted.

• Deadline: The Call for Abstracts for the 2025 meeting will open in August 2024.

Grants ​

 

RSNA Resident/Fellow Research Grant - General

• This R&E Foundation grant gives young radiologists the chance to gain insight and experience in scientific investigation while they’re still in training. Resident grant recipients receive up to $50,000 for research projects. Funds may be used for salary support or non-personnel research expenses.

• Deadline: The next application cycle will open in October 2024 - The deadline is usually around mid-January

ASHNR-CCF William N. Hanafee Grant - Neuroradiology

• Up to $ 30,000 for a 1-year project and up to $60,000 for a 2-year project. This is awarded to MD, MD-PhD, DO, DMD/DDS, and/or PhD applicants for projects in head and neck imaging research and/or education. Strong consideration will be given to projects that have a high clinical impact with the potential for subsequent grant applications to the NIH and other governmental agencies, as well as to foundations and/or corporations. 

• Deadline: The deadline for receipt of a letter of intent for the Hanafee Research Grant is Monday, April 1, 2024. The deadline for receipt of full proposal submissions is Monday, July 1, 2024.

The Cambridge Community Foundation - General

• The Cambridge Community Foundation has awarded $513,000 in grants to 68 community-based organizations this fall to rebuild the nonprofit sector’s capacity, promote equity, and invest in creative solutions that support the economic, social, and emotional well-being of those who live in and rely on Cambridge.
